Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Talkelier ("Talkelier", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal data when people visit our public website, use the Talkelier application, communicate with a Talkelier-powered chatbot or connect a business messaging channel such as WhatsApp.

1. Scope and roles

Talkelier provides software that lets customers create and operate conversational experiences. For account, security and service-administration data, Talkelier determines why and how that data is processed. When a customer uses Talkelier to communicate with its own users, that customer determines the chatbot's purpose and content, and Talkelier processes conversation data to provide the service on the customer's behalf. Questions about a customer's business practices should also be directed to that customer.

2. Data we process

  • Account and workspace data: name, email address, authentication identifiers, workspace membership, permissions and settings.
  • Channel connection data: business account, WhatsApp Business Account and phone-number identifiers, connection status and protected credentials supplied by an authorized customer administrator.
  • Conversation data: external platform identifiers such as a WhatsApp phone identifier, message content, answers submitted to a chatbot, timestamps, delivery status and conversation state.
  • Configuration and customer content: chatbot instructions, workflows, knowledge sources and deployment settings provided by the customer.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, audit events, error information and content-free operational metrics needed to protect and operate the service.
  • Support communications: information included when someone contacts us for help, privacy or deletion requests.

Our static public website does not intentionally collect information through forms. Normal server and security logs may still record basic request information.

3. How we use data

  • Provide accounts, workspaces, chatbots, channel connections and message delivery.
  • Maintain conversation continuity and apply customer-configured workflows.
  • Authenticate users, enforce permissions, prevent abuse and investigate security or reliability incidents.
  • Provide customer support and respond to privacy or deletion requests.
  • Measure service operation using minimized, content-free diagnostics and aggregates.
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Talkelier does not sell personal data and does not use chatbot message content for third-party advertising.

4. WhatsApp and other providers

When a chatbot uses WhatsApp, messages and related identifiers pass through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform and are also subject to Meta's and the participating business's terms and privacy practices. The customer owns and administers its Meta business account, WhatsApp Business Account and phone number. Talkelier initially supports customer-authorized, text-based business messaging and processes the data needed to route, deliver and troubleshoot those messages.

Customer-configured chatbot responses may use an external AI model provider. Talkelier sends only the information authorized by the applicable chatbot configuration and customer. Provider processing is also governed by the customer's provider relationship and settings.

5. Sharing

We disclose data only as needed to the customer responsible for the chatbot; infrastructure, communications, security and AI providers used to deliver the configured service; professional advisers under confidentiality; or authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. Providers may process data only for the services they supply to us or the customer.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain personal data only while needed for the purposes described above, according to the customer's configuration, the applicable data class and legitimate security, audit or legal requirements. Conversation content and external routing identifiers are subject to configured retention. When retention expires, Talkelier deletes protected content or makes routing identifiers unusable while it may preserve content-free evidence needed for security, audit and delivery integrity.

You may request deletion by following our User Data Deletion Instructions. Some information may be retained when required by law, to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect security or maintain non-identifying audit evidence. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until their normal secure rotation.

7. Security

Talkelier uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data, including encryption in transit, protection of sensitive stored content and credentials, tenant separation, authorization controls, minimized logs and audited administrative access. No service can guarantee absolute security.

8. International processing

Talkelier and its service providers may process data in countries other than the country where a person lives. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for those transfers.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, object to certain processing or request a portable copy. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. A WhatsApp user may also contact the business operating the chatbot, which can identify the relevant customer relationship more directly.

10. Children

Talkelier is a business service and is not directed to children. Customers must configure and operate their chatbots consistently with applicable age and consent requirements. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data improperly.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated effective date on this page. For privacy questions or requests, email support@talkelier.com.
